“Most organizational structures encourage employees to focus solely or mostly on individual work and performance, even for those who manage a team. Weekly 1-on-1s with a supervisor or individual performance reviews can lead employees to ignore their peer-to-peer or team performance. As product management professionals, we rely on our influence and collaboration to develop our products quickly and efficiently. Product managers can excel at collaboration with others to launch a product, but often rarely focus on increasing the efficiency and quality of the product team.
Considering operational efficiency and team performance as the product, Rebekah will walk participants through ways to collaborate with peers in order to rise, together. These methods will aid in current challenges, regardless of level or whether you are new to the team or years of working together. Using past successes and failures, she’ll explain how to focus on unifying as a team and breakthrough common breakdowns with coworkers. In addition, participants will gain access to understanding how unifying as a team aids in managing up for the greater good of all team members. While this talk will focus on collaborating with your product peers, it is applicable to most professions related to tech.”
